New Space Announcement!
Hello Friends!
We are so excited to announce our success in securing a new worship facility – Front Porch Bar and Grill! This darling space is in downtown Bulverde (2265 Bulverde Rd.) next to Provisions Outreach and the shops in the Village.
Many of you know we have been hard at work these past few months to get a Special Use Permit and to negotiate the buying of the property. Because of the power of God at work in this world, St. Nicholas Hill Country Episcopal Church are the proud owners of this beautiful space. So many people have played a part in this process and we are abundantly thankful for our Bishop, diocesan staff and committees, our Bulverde Village neighbors, city employees, Planning and Zoning commissioners and City Council members. We are thankful for the owners of Front Porch Bar and Grill who had a vision for a gathering place on this beautiful piece of land.
When you think about it, restaurants are very clear what they are about – nourishing people with good food and good memories. Churches are like that too. We gather to be nourished by Jesus – his word, his life, his spirit. As we gather we make unforgettable connections and memories. This nourishment is so effective, we are sent out to share the strength, inspiration, and love we have been blessed with in our time together.
My friends, continue to pray that St. Nick’s will be a vibrant, joy-filled, loving presence in our community. Pray that we can continue to live into the vision God has set before us – to be a church where everyone matters, everyone is loved, and everyone belongs.
In Ephesians 3:20-21 we are encouraged to trust God as it says “Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us; glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus for all generations, forever and always. Amen.” This is a good reminder for us to trust that God is always at work in the world. God can truly do more than we can ask or imagine. We are being shown that time and time again. Let us truly thank God.
I know I am overflowing with thankfulness for you, for the community of Bulverde, and for all that God has in store for us. We will keep you posted on a date for launching worship in our new space so keep connected and come by our new church home!
God’s Peace, Love, and Blessings,
Beth+
