Generosity and Joy – St. Nick’s News Dec. 5, 2025

Full St. Nick’s News for December 5, 2025

Dear Friends,

Hi again! It’s me, your faithful Giving with Gratitude Coordinator – Haley. And we are wrapping up our Giving with Gratitude Season — St. Nick’s Style!

As we close out this year’s Giving with Gratitude Stewardship Season, we pause to give thanks for the generosity, heart, and faithfulness that define this community.

Every year, our shared commitments make ministry possible. They make St. Nick’s a place where people encounter welcome, healing, joy, and purpose. And now, as we look toward our sixth anniversary of public worship, we step boldly into the next chapter of God’s call for St. Nicholas.

This Sunday, December 7, we invite you to bring your written financial commitment cards (if you haven’t already!) and turn them in before either worship service. During the offering, all commitment cards will be blessed—an act that roots our giving not in obligation, but in gratitude, hope, and trust in the future God is shaping among us.

For those who join us online or need the ease of technology we have our pledge card online on our website here. You can fill out the form and we will include these in our thanks and celebration on Sunday.

A note on our Stewardship Puzzle Progress: We are building St. Nick’s—literally and figuratively—piece by piece. As of this past Sunday, we’ve received 37 commitment cards toward our goal of 50. Each card represents two puzzle pieces added to our community picture. Let’s complete the puzzle together and celebrate the full, vibrant picture of who we are and what we can do when every household participates.

We are so looking forward to Sunday – it will be a special day in the life of our community:

  • The Rt. Rev. Angela Cortiñas, Bishop Suffragan of the Diocese of the West, will preside at both worship times as we celebrate our patron saint and the vibrant ministry that has grown here over six years. At 9:30 we have ten confirmands who are making a public commitment of faithfulness on their journey with Christ.
  • Maggie Mae’s Catering will provide breakfast for everyone—so come hungry and ready to share a meal with your church family.
  • And together, we’ll mark the 6th anniversary of our first public worship service, giving thanks for the people whose generosity built the foundation we now stand on, and recommitting ourselves to the bright future ahead.

Your commitment—large or small—helps sustain and grow the mission of St. Nick’s. Thank you for your partnership, your trust, and your willingness to join in God’s work of love in this community.

Let’s come together this Sunday with full hearts, open hands, and deep gratitude for all God has done and all God is calling us toward.

With an abundance of Gratitude,
Haley Bankey
