Full St. Nick’s News for April 25, 2025
Dear Friends –
Holy Week at St. Nicholas Hill Country Episcopal Church was a beautiful tapestry woven with worship, community, service, and joy. From the waving palms of Palm Sunday, through the intimate meal of Maundy Thursday, the solemn reflection of Good Friday, and our vibrant Holy Saturday Workday, culminating in the joyful celebration of Easter Sunday—we experienced together the depth and power of Christ’s love and resurrection.
Thank you so much to everyone who participated in making Holy Week meaningful and memorable. Your hands that served, your voices lifted in song and prayer, and your presence in worship and fellowship brought the story of Jesus vividly to life. We met new friends and welcomed old friends!
We held 7 worship and prayer events and had over 500 people present with us throughout holy week.
Now, as we step fully into the Easter season—a joyful fifty-day journey—we are reminded that Easter is more than a single day. It’s a way of living, a season of seeing and recognizing the risen Christ in our midst, in ordinary moments, in shared acts of kindness, and in ongoing transformation.
Just as the disciples encountered the risen Jesus in unexpected places, we too are invited to open our hearts and eyes to discover him anew in our daily lives. In the breaking of bread, in the sharing of peace, and in every act of love, resurrection continues.
Join us during this Easter season to make new friends, create stronger bonds with the friends you already know and love, serve, or simply try something new. Join us to laugh, pray, play, and serve.

Throughout this season, let’s embrace the hope and joy that Easter brings. Let’s look intentionally for signs of new life, for the presence of Jesus around us, and celebrate each instance as a living testament to resurrection.
Alleluia! Christ is risen indeed—and we will see him continuously, together, in every step we take as the community of St. Nicholas.
God’s Peace, Love, and Blessings,
Beth+
